Updates from the Year 6 Canberra Camp

 

Day 5 Update:

On the final day of activities the Year 6 students visited the , / (a big highlight) and had an evening swim at the .
The group is now looking forward to coming home after a great week exploring Canberra.

Day 4 Update:

Today both groups visited the throughout the morning. During the afternoon Group A visited the Mt Ainslie Lookout, and while Group B visited .
After an early dinner, both groups let off some energy at for laser tag and video game fun.

Day 3 Update:

Year 6 visited and learnt about democracy and the election process. They have also visited the exploring the history of Australian currency and how our coins are made. At students explored our ever changing planet.

at the Australian Institute of Sport was the final visit of an action packed day.

Day 2 Update:

Year 6 visited Parliament House and the Senate chambers.

Day 1 Update:

Year 6 arrived safe and sound in Canberra yesterday and enjoyed their afternoon at the National Zoo.

The annual Canberra Camp is an exciting opportunity for our Year 6 students to learn more about our nation’s capital, visiting places such as Parliament House, the Australian Institute of Sport, Museums, Gallery’s, and more. Here are some highlights from this year’s trip.
